Client Spotlights

To advance evidence-based, culturally and linguistically sustaining early literacy, we are developing the Early Literacy in Educator Preparation Resource Hub. Through working groups, panel discussions, and webinars, EdLighten convenes experts to create accessible resources that help educator preparation programs implement the Early Literacy Program Approval Criteria (ELPAC).

In partnership with the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency’s Northeast Emergency Management & Training Center (NEMTEC), we are designing and delivering a suite of online courses on critical emergency management topics. EdLighten oversees instructional design, curriculum development, and content creation, ensuring high-quality, accessible training while also managing the transition to a new learning management system.

In partnership with The Reading Circuit, EdLighten led Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to advance evidence-based, culturally and linguistically sustaining early literacy practices. We provided strategic planning, facilitation, and technical support to help educator preparation faculty implement the Early Literacy Program Approval Criteria (ELPAC). Our coordinated efforts, including dedicated PLC websites (PLC1 and PLC2) and shared evidence-based early literacy resources, fostered collaboration and were reflected in evaluation results showing strong engagement and meaningful impact.

EdLighten conducted usability and accessibility reviews for the Pathways2Careers career-connected educational technology platform, used nationwide by middle and high school students and teachers. Through this work, we delivered actionable recommendations to improve user experience and platform functionality, addressed the accessibility needs of diverse learners, and supported inclusive platform design.

We strengthened Early College High School programs by providing coaching, customized curriculum, and targeted support for administrators, teachers, and students. This included resource development, training, school visits, progress reporting, and co-leading a session at MA DESE’s Innovate, Strategy, Policy, Together conference.

We are designing, authoring, and reviewing continuing education courses to be delivered by EdCetera and PDH Academy that ensure contracting professionals meet state licensing requirements while building meaningful skills. Our work includes needs analysis, instructional design, content development, and compliance review to deliver courses that are accessible, accurate, and engaging.

EdLighten, in partnership with The Reading Circuit, led strategic planning, design, project management, and technical assistance for the development of a comprehensive, user-friendly, and accessible teacher resource hub. The hub is designed to support Educator Preparation programs in implementing the updated Candidate Assessment of Performance (CAP) and Performance Standards for Teachers (PST).

EdLighten is a pre-qualified vendor for MA DESE’s Supporting School, District, and DESE Sustainable Improvement Efforts. We’ve been approved to provide services in strategic planning, consulting and targeted assistance, project management, and professional learning systems.
